Tracing back to the Jay-Z and Eminem collaborative track from 2001’s The Blueprint album, DJ Hero creates a special version of their newly developed video game system, appropriately entitled the Renegade Edition. Along with a special version turntable, the set will feature a convertible hardcase turned stand, and two-disc CD set, featuring previously unreleased music from Hip-Hop legends, Jay-Z and Eminem.
August 24, 2009 will be the day a new era for the brand Stussy, unfortunately it also marks the end of another. The legendary Union NYC store will be gone. Known for Blazing a trail for many great brands and becoming an exclusive provider of select Japanese brands for us in the States, UNION NYC will be greatly missed.
I like this designer, bring alot o life to the shoe game for men in my opinion. In the 2010 collection, we see a strong variety which range from chukkas and oxfords to loafers, sandles and boots. Some of the bolder offerings take shape with patent, green-soled oxfords

After presenting a previous collaboration pair of sneakers with A Bathing Ape and UNDERCOVER in trademark Bape green camo, a new color has surfaced. Slight modifications also include a new writing in the rubber portion of the Jack Purcell-esque toebox which now reads LAST ORGY TWO. This particular pair will release in a darker black camo. The shoes are priced at ￥26,250 JPY (approximately $281 USD).

With a high-profile BAPE STORE London opening just days ago, Dazed Digital conducted a short interview with A Bathing Ape founder NIGO regarding a series of noteworthy topics. Dazed Digital get the low-down on WTAPS’ Tetsuya Nishiyima’s involvment in the URSUS BAPE collection as well as some upcoming projects set for next year.
How about the new URSUS BAPE line, the collaboration with Tetsu Nishiyama of WTAPS?
We stock it here. I’m pleased that everybody knows who Tets is! Tets is one of the few people left from the guys that started at the beginning. A lot of people have faded out of the scene, but with Tets we still talk every day.
Is the longevity of BAPE and Tets due to maintaining the original design ethos of the label, with WTAPS it’s the military-inspired designs?
I agree. We don’t follow trends. It always starts with the idea – let’s make something we want to make.
Are there new Japanese designers that you’re inspired by?
Not really. I’m a little bit worried that there aren’t that many new names coming up.
I remember rumors of a BAPE hotel and even BAPE airline…
(Laughs) I’m still thinking about it….
What’s next for BAPE?
There’s a Chrome Hearts (LA-based lifestyle and jewellery label) collaboration coming. I’ll probably opening more stores in Asia next year, and I’m doing a suit line that I’ve been working on for the past year that will be available at United Arrows store in Japan called Mr. A Bathing Ape.
Miami Heat star player, Dwayne Wade, has finally and officially signed on with the Jordan Brand. At the press conference Wade said, ““For me, the move to Jordan Brand is a dream come true. As a kid, I grew up on the south side of Chicago idolizing Michael Jordan and have worked hard to achieve the same success that he’s had on the court. I have enormous respect for this brand and all that it stands for. I’m humbled to be a part of the Team Jordan family and I’m looking forward to a great future.” You can expect samples and sneak peaks at Wade’s first Jordan sneaker to hit the net very soon.
