Stretched Maserati Quattroporte Limousine for Hire in Florida

maserati-quattroporte-limo-12
Stretching a stock automobile into a limousine is a precarious venture. So while Mercedes-Benz can take its own E-Class sedan, as it’s preparing to do, and turn it into a stretched limo to assuredly polished effect, when others try to do the same, more often than not, the modified vehicle turns out a complete abomination of the original. Take for example this stretched Maserati Quattroporte. Currently under the proprietorship of Florida’s Padilla Car Collection, this Italian luxury sports sedan has been lengthened considerably to accommodate ten passengers in high style, but in effect the original’s sumptuous lines have been lost along the way. Say what you will about stretched Hummers – which Padilla has in stock, too – but at least their form carries the extension well.

The boss faking it again?

3522987141_8e31f4923a

The homies at XXL got this letter (perhaps on lovely heavyweight manilla stationary, scented with the essence of Kanye’s feet and angel’s breath) from Louis Vuitton….regarding the sunglasses that Rick Ross wore on the cover of their May 2009 issue:

Dear Editor:

We were dismayed to see the cover of the May 2009 issue of XXL Magazine, which features a photo of Rick Ross wearing a pair of sunglasses prominently featuring counterfeit Louis Vuitton trademarks. Because the photo has generated considerable confusion among your readers and Louis Vuitton customers among others, we feel it is important to clarify several points.

The first is that the sunglasses Mr. Ross is wearing were not made by Louis Vuitton, and in fact, are counterfeit. Louis Vuitton did not grant permission to Mr. Ross or to whoever did make the sunglasses to use our trademarks. The second is that no affiliation, sponsorship or association exists between Rick Ross or XXL and Louis Vuitton. The third is that counterfeiting is illegal….(full letter after the jump)

Now at first, I just chalked up the foolery to maybe a photo shoot stylist who was trying to cut corners? But then my sharp-readers pointed out this video where Ross claims that those same sunglasses were “custom Lewis Vatonne shades, one of one….” at the 5:48 mark. (strong suggestion, skip the rest of the rant)

gah!

How come LV and Gucci haven’t written letters about the logo-covered velour jogging suits he’s always wearing?

The Brothel Prince & His Louis Vuitton Rolls-Royce

lvrolls1

Spotted in Monaco recently was this pimped-out Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe customized in a Murakami multicolored Louis Vuitton monogram, belonging to the infamous Prince Marcus von Anhalt. Von Anhalt, who’s said to have essentially bought his title – Prinz von Anhalt, Herzog zu Sachsen und Westfalen, Graf von Askanien in full – by paying Zsa Zsa Gabor and her ninth husband Frédéric Prinz von Anhalt millions of dollars to adopt him, is one of Germany’s largest and most high-profile brothel and nightclub owners.

He refers to himself as “Prince Germany” and apparently uses the Rolls to promote the Royal Race, a Gumball 3000-style exotic auto rally he launched last year. The Prince, who’s been known to pal around with Pamela Anderson, claims to be a millionaire “in the three digit range” and to own 26 cars plus luxury real estate in several countries including Monaco and Dubai, attended by 12 bodyguards and 25 servants. This looks to us like not only a crime against taste but exactly the kind of thing LVMH’s lawyers love to sue over.

House of Hoops Exclusive: Pearl Foamposite Pro

nike-air-foamposite-pro-pearl-2-500x281
On Saturday, May 23rd House of Hoops releases the Air Foamposite Pro in pearl wht/blk-true red. This shoe is exclusive to House of Hoops, and being a Foamposite Pro it should be gone real quick. The last Foamposite release for the Foot Locker family was back in February so there’s been buzz about this release for some time. Early chatter about the shoe has been slightly off, with the actual release having a more golden-champagne tint than some of the CADs and photoshopped looks that are around. There is also a clear outsole, a feature seen on the original Foamposite, worn by Penny Hardaway. The most noted difference between the original Foamposite, and Foamposite Pro is the swoosh on the lateral side of the upper.
