Chris Brown Strikes the Pose
Chris Brown had a blast on a jet ski Thursday in Miami, where he’s spending time with Rihanna — the woman he allegedly beat just weeks earlier. Chris — who looks like he’s recreating the wind up leading to the punch that left Rihanna bloodied and bruised — doesn’t seem to have a care in the world.
And here’s an interesting tidbit — Rihanna is being shadowed by one of Jay Z’s beefy bodyguards.

Nearly three weeks after Brown allegedly battered the singer, the couple have got back together. Shes not listening to anyone, says a Rihanna pal. And of course Puff got involved in this. The couple is staying together at a house owned by Sean Diddy Combs on Star Island near Miami, Florida. Brown has been seen smiling, riding a jet ski, and flexing his arm muscles. Rihanna arrived four days ago, according to a source. The latest issue of Us Weekly, on newsstands now, reports the pair have recently begun speaking again, and that Brown reached out to Rihanna on her 21st birthday. Hes been calling and they are talking, says a source. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles County District Attorney is expected to make a decision soon on whether to charge Brown for the alleged beating on February 8.
In the weeks following the incident, Rihanna has been laying low, spending time in Los Angeles, Mexico and the ultraprivate resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Beach, California. Rihannas pals recently told Us a reconciliation was always a possibility, Its not easy to shut off a relationship she invested so much in.
LG’s non-smartphone OS has gotten better from phone to phone (the Vu on AT&T to Dare on Verizon), so this updated version should be fairly usable, even if the 3D UI is completely gratuitous. It’s got visual voicemail! At the very least, they’re promising a better browser with Flash. (We’ll see though).
No word on the ridiculous line of accessories that’ll be coming, like the gaming d-pad we saw in leaks, or the BJ attachment some of us were hoping for. But they’re obviously coming. The question is how many and when and if they’re good—then the Versa could be something way more interesting than a gimmick or just a good hybrid. The Versa itself’ll be out March 1 for $199 after the usual rebates and contract.
Not only is Karl Lagerfeld the most famous fashion designer in the world, he is also revered as the industry’s resident Renaissance man. In addition to being an accomplished fashion photographer and running his own publishing imprint, Edition 7L, Lagerfeld also serves as the creative director of Chanel, his eponymous label, and Fendi. (Until 1997, he was also simultaneously the creative director of Chloé.)
Lagerfeld began his career at the fur and leather house Fendi in 1965, when the family behind the brand hired him. Having worked in the ateliers of Pierre Balmain and Jean Patou, he quickly set about designing the famous double-F logo, which to this day remains a luxury status symbol.
Lagerfeld launched the house’s first ready-to-wear fur collection in 1969, putting Fendi at the forefront of fur innovation. Treating the material more like a fabric, he reshaped the stiff and heavy traditional coat into lighter, more wearable styles.
In 1977 the house debuted womenswear, also designed by Lagerfeld. Fendi continued to diversify throughout the eighties and nineties, expanding into menswear, denim, fragrance, and gifts, all under the direction of Lagerfeld. After more than 40 years of collaboration, the label continues to push boundaries under Lagerfeld’s guidance. Case in point: For Fall 2008 Fendi sent glowing furs gilded in 24-karat gold down the runway, a first for the fashion industry.
